Events Calendar

Andrew Jackson, Tennessee, and the War of 1812
Contact 7th USILHA

This event is by Invitation ONLY. Contact the 7th U.S. Infantry for specifics.

The location is Andrew Jackson's Hermitage in Nashville, TN.

The dates are Friday March 15 (Jackson's 252nd birthday) and Saturday March 16. Sunday the 17th is for tear down and load out of camps.

The sponsors of the event are the 7th USILHA and Andrew Jackson's Hermitage.

The format will follow along much of the same lines we had in 2017. Friday March 15 will be a school day. That evening we will hold a ball in honor of Jackson's Birthday in Tulip Grove Mansion. Saturday is open to the public and will conclude with a candlelight tour that evening.

We plan on having the period tavern and ladies salon along with all our military activities. Participants will also receive a special tour of the Hermitage.

On Friday and Saturday evening we will post an Honor Guard over the tomb of General Jackson and his beloved wife Rachel. The Guard will stand from 10 to midnight.

The Hermitage is very excited to have us back. Our thanks to Howard J. Kittell and Hannah Howard of the Hermitage for their support in 2017 and extending to us this opportunity for 2019.

Thanks also to the amazing Donna Weaver for another of her "competent" poster designs.

Our event is invitation only. If you are interested in more information please contact us.
